Jordan D. Brown is pursuing her master’s degree in journalism at New York University.
Brown has previously worked as a reporting intern in the newsrooms of the Baltimore Sun, USA Today and Patch, through the Dow Jones News Fund.
In May 2023, she graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md., with a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism. At Morgan State, she was editor-in-chief of the MSU Spokesman, Morgan’s student newspaper, and interviewed President Joe Biden, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, playright and author David Talbert and the cast of All American: Homecoming.
Brown was named the National Association of Black Journalists Student of the Year in 2023, and was selected to be part of a business journalism training partnership between Morgan State and The Wall Street Journal.
Brown was born and raised in Bowie, Md., in Prince George’s County.
