Tricia Crimmins is a senior political reporter at the Daily Dot covering identity, discrimination, and the 2024 election. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism where she teaches journalistic ethics.

Crimmins began her journalism career as an editorial fellow at Mashable covering depictions of disability onscreen in the entertainment industry. She then attended Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism as a part-time student, where she covered early COVID-19 vaccine efforts, reproductive rights, mental health, and sexual harassment in New York State.

In her second year as a Columbia student, Crimmins served as a teaching assistant for EJI director Stephen J. Adler’s journalistic ethics class and hired as a staff reporter for the Daily Dot, an outlet covering the internet and online communities.

Since graduating, Crimmins has become an adjunct faculty member at Columbia’s journalism school and a senior reporter at the Daily Dot.

Crimmins is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, ME.
