Covering protests, climate, politics, and more come with unique safety risks. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, Kerry Paterson, director of global safety, risk and resilience at the Associated Press and former deputy director of emergencies at the Committee to Protect Journalists, led a workshop on strategies for protecting yourself and your newsroom.
The program, which includes a light lunch, was held at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute building at 20 Cooper Square in New York City. Registration for the event is required.
