The Collier Award

The Peter F. Collier Award for Ethics in Journalism, granted annually, celebrates acts of journalism by student and professional (local, national/international) journalists that meet the highest ethical standards in the face of pressure or incentives to do otherwise. The first annual Collier Awards Ceremony & Symposium will take place April 10-11, 2025.

Collier Award for Ethics in Journalism, to be granted annually with prizes up to $15,000, will recognize student and local journalists, as well as reporters who have had national or international impact. The award will be administered by the Carter Journalism Institute’s Ethics & Journalism Initiative.
